Nile University officially welcomed 548new students into the institution in the 10th matriculation ceremony held on January 11, 2018. After the official introduction of the matriculating students by their respective Deans of Faculty, the students took the matriculation oath in which they promised, amongst other things, to abide by Nile University’s rules.

Following the oath taking ceremony was the Vice-Chancellor’s address where he highlighted the growth of the institution; which started in 2009 with a modest two Faculties, and has since then grown to include six Undergraduate Faculties, as well as 13 Postgraduate programs (PhD inclusive); all NUC accredited.

He also urged the matriculants to take their studies seriously to ensure that they become successful in their respective fields of study.

Also addressing the students, during the ceremony, was the Dean of Student Affairs who enjoined the matriculants to seek out and study attentively the student handbook to acquaint themselves with the school rules and regulations.

The students were not left out of the fun as Fatima Sadiq (Mass Communication) and Precious Okon (Petroleum & Gas Engineering) both took turns to address the audience on behalf of the students. In their respective speeches, they touched on their wonderful experiences in their short time at Nile and assured the University of thedesire of all students present, to do their utmost to achieve that for which they came; getting a degree that enables them ACTUALIZE THEIR DREAMS.
