The Nigerian Universities’ Engineering Students Association (NUESA), Nile University of    Nigeria Chapter hosted a career talk for engineering students on the 17th of January, 2018.

Engr. Valerie Ifueko Agberagba, Vice President, World Federation of Engineering Organization (WFEO) and Executive Director of Science, Engineering and Technology Development Network (SciTech) was the guest speaker of the day. She shared the experiences she has gathered over her three-decade career with the students and enlightened them on the importance of adequate preparation for the future. Engr. Valerie also advised the students to take advantage of their university career and build networks and friendships with their colleagues.

The career talk was followed by the Inauguration of The Exco of The Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineering (NICE), Nile University of Nigeria Students Chapter by Engr. (Mrs) Aishatu A. Umar, FNSE, FNICE, FCIA; Incoming National Chairman of Nigerian Institute of Civil Engineering (NICE) and Chairman Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Giri Branch, Abuja. She gave a short speech in which she advised the Exco to work hard in taking NICE, Nile University Chapter to a new level. She also advice the students to put in the best of their efforts in achieving their goals and objectives.

Photographs were taken by the speakers, staff and students to commemorate the event. This marked the end of a second successful event for NUESA.
