The Economics department of Nile University organized an excursion to the Kaduna Petrochemical Refinery for its students on May 8. During the visit they were given a tour of the facility by the safety personnel assigned to the Nile contingent. Students got to see the different storage tanks used for preserving crude oil in different stages (raw crude, finished crude, etc.), as well as the drum production department, where the processes involved in drum production were explained to them. Subsequently, the students asked for and were taken to the area with the Nigerian and foreign crude oils; here, the differences between both types of crude oil were explained to them. The excursion concluded with a bus tour of the refinery during which the students got to see the facility in its entirety.
