Nile University recently joined the team of partners of the 2nd National Anti-Corruption Marathon. This development came after the University’s Vice-Chancellor received a delegation from the organizers of the event on September 30. During the visit, Mr. Jacob Onu (the event’s national coordinator and leader of the delegation) acquainted the Vice-Chancellor with the objective of the marathon and sought the University’s support, participation, and partnership. According to him, Nile University’s support will go a long way in helping the marathon’s organizers achieve their goal of uniting the different sections of the country in support of the President’s fight against corruption.
In response, Nile University’s Vice-Chancellor stated that the University is responsible for more than the academic development of its students; it also has a crucial role to play in building the character of the latter. In light of this, he continued, Nile University will encourage its students to participate in the marathon.
The 2nd National Anti-Corruption Marathon is scheduled to hold on Monday, December 9.
