Nile University signed a MoU with Vistula Group of Universities, Poland, earlier today. The meeting which took place in the Vice-Chancellor’s office had several distinguished individuals in attendance, including Nile University’s Registrar, Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Academics, Admin, and RICOR), as well as the representatives of Vistula Group of Universities—Prof. Wawrzyniec Konarski (Rector) and Mr. Albert Sarli (Chief operating Officer).
Giving the opening address at the event, Nile University’s Vice-Chancellor welcomed the Vistula delegation and gave them a brief introduction of the University, including its population (staff and students) and programs, to name a few. He also stated that he hoped the MoU will be the start of a long and productive relationship between both organizations. Following the Vice-Chancellor’s address, Prof. Konarski expressed his satisfaction with Nile University and proceeded to provide a brief introduction of Vistula University. According to him, Vistula is among the most international Universities in Poland, with over 60% of its student body comprised of foreign nationals; it is this emphasis on diversity, along with its desire to constantly improve its curricula, which has prompted the school to pursue collaborations with international universities.
Discussions regarding the mutually beneficial areas of the MoU—including students and staff exchange programs, curriculum development etc.—got underway at the completion of Prof. Konarski’s address. The event ended with the signing of the MoU and a tour of the Nile University campus for the visitors.
